Hey guys!!
I know it's been forever since I last posted, my apologies. There's been quite a lot going on for me lately and I hadn't managed to find the time to write any new posts [and if I'm being honest, I just hadn't really felt like posting much...] but, no worries...because I'm back!
Hmmm...I wonder what all could have been going on?
Well, moving, for starters. At the beginning of June, I moved into new apartment that's in the same complex I've been living in for the last year or so...want to know something that feels like an absolute exercise in futility? Having to pack up all of your stuff just to move it across a parking lot....yep, tons of fun. But, luckily, I had lots of help from my spectacularly fantastic boyfriend ^_^ Seriously though, without his help, the move wouldn't have gone nowhere near as smoothly as it did. Which brings me to another new development...
Not that I think my boyfriend wouldn't have helped me out anyway, but there was a huge contributing factor that I haven't mentioned yet...
We've officially moved in together :)
Things have been going really well, so far....and I'm sure that they'll continue to do so, he and I get along really well and make an awesome team <3 [I love you, HoneyBear!]
Also, the boyfriend, kiddo, and I got to spend some time at the beach! We went down to Panama City Beach about 2 weeks ago and got a few extremely needed days to relax. Aaaand, I managed to get a bit of a tan! [Kind of a big deal since I hardly ever spend time in the sun]
And that brings me to the last little update that I wanted to tell you guys about:
I'm on YouTube!! The boyfriend and I have started up a YouTube channel ^_^
As of right now, we aren't exactly sure what direction we want our channel to take...but we're thinking it'll probably be where we post videos of us gaming and being nerds, in general. We're planning on uploading an official 'introduction' video sometime this week, but we've already posted a video for you guys to check out!
***Spoiler alert for anyone who hasn't seen this week's Game of Thrones episode...(season 6, episode 9)...and for the love of all the old gods and the new...watch the episode!!***
Our first video is of us watching the death of Westeros' most hate-worthy bastard...my boyfriend's reaction is definitely more entertaining than mine [unless you like muppet-esque frowns!]...
Well, there's the video! Please like it and subscribe to our channel...we'll have more content loaded up soon ^_^
Okay, that's all I've got for now...hope you guys have a good day!

Random Things...
Writing out a quick post while I'm at work...so I thought that I'd just post about some random things and a few updates about what all is going on...
- I've decided that laundry is the most deplorable household chore, ever. I mean it. EVER. Now, some of you will probably disagree with me...and, I hate to say it, but you're wrong! Laundry is the bane of my existence! [Well...one of several banes....] It's not that it's an inherently difficult chore...quite the contrary...laundry is probably one of the simplest household tasks. But it just never stops. Never! I feel like as soon as I manage to empty the dirty clothes hamper, it's instantly full again! Uggggghhhh.
- Few things are as painful as stepping on a lego with bare feet. This is new news to no one, I'm sure...but, yeah. That mess hurts.
- I went with the boyfriend to an airsoft arena over the weekend. [Arena? Is that the proper word for it? Not sure...but it's a place where people go to 'play' airsoft...] Not ever having been to anything like that before, I wasn't sure what to expect...but the place looked pretty cool. [Here's the link to their Facebook page, if you'd like to check it out...] I didn't play, soooo I was rather bored [my own fault, really] but the boyfriend said that he had a pretty good time, once he got the basics of gameplay and got equipment that worked properly. Not sure if airsoft is going to end up being my thing, but I think I might try it next time we go.
- I'm soooooo stupid excited about the upcoming season of Game of Thrones! [Quick search for promo images didn't turn up anything that wouldn't be some sort of spoiler.../sigh] I've been re-watching all of the show with the boyfriend...[he hadn't seen past season 1!] Right now, we're about half-way through season 5...so I'm really hoping we can finish it up before the new stuff starts!
- Have you guys seen the Batman vs. Superman movie yet? No? Don't.
- I've just about decided that I'm going to stop spending money on video games and on DVDs/Blu-Rays unless I know for certain that I'm going to play or watch them within a week of buying them...I just realized how much money I must have wasted on movies that I haven't watched yet [and, very likely, never will] and on games that I haven't played and don't really have much desire to start. It's probably more money than I actually want to try and calculate.../smh
- There's about 2 months left of my lease at my current apartment.../sigh I don't wanna move again...moving is such a pain.
- Pollen is disgusting. I know that most people looooovvvve spring, but I'm seriously ready for it to pack its bags and GTFO.
- Spell check is a glorious, simple tool that's readily available in many, many programs....for the love of feigning intelligence...please use it.
Okay, I think that should do for now...hope you guys are having a good week! Will try and post again soon!

Sheets, Shows, and Shirt Folding...
/Sigh
No time for a full post today...so, how about another 'thinking points' post?
- In my opinion, the Sims 4 isn't really worth the money [or the internet connection that's required for installation!]. Sure, the graphics are better and there are new aspects that have been introduced to make the gameplay a little smoother...but it's pretty much the same as all of its predecessors. Though, I guess I didn't really expect otherwise.
- Are any of you familiar with the Whisper app? There are some...umm...interesting people on there, for sure.

- My sister has gotten me hooked on Gossip Girl. So...much...drama! [And fantastic clothes!]
- My kiddo seems to be having some anxiety about his new school...he's such a precious cinnamon bun and it breaks my heart for me to hear him say that he doesn't have any friends. School hasn't even been in for a full week yet, though. So, I'm hoping things get better for him within a day or two.
- Some people just don't know how to let things go. Very annoying.
- I bought some 'grown up' sheets over the weekend. I'd laughed at the thought of actually considering a thread count before buying sheets...but now I see the error of my ways! My new sheets are the best sheets ever!!!! They're seriously comfy! Here's looking at you, Egyptian cotton!

- Last week, I played through the latest chapter of TellTale's Game of Thrones. I'm distraught at some
of the decisions that the game forced me to make...why, TellTale? Why?!?
- I've been reading "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up" by Marie Kondo...I'm beyond ready to clear all of the junk and unnecessary clutter out of my life! I'm about halfway finished with her book and I'm dying to go ahead and get started implementing her genius methods...but I know I should finish reading it first so that the clearing-out doesn't end up being a half-hearted venture. Whenever you guys get a minute though, you should look-up her suggested technique for folding shirts...this lady is a genius!
Okey dokey...I apologize for the randomness of this quasi-post, but it's all I've got for now. Will post again soon!
Leaving this video here because "Sheets of Egyptian Cotton" is stuck in my head...and I always find myself humming it while shopping for sheets.

Gaming Again...Finally!
Hey, again!
Sooooo....I was thinking, I'm just gonna skip all of the obligatory 'sorry it's been so long since my last post' stuff. That's alright with you guys, right?
It's been a few weeks since it aired, so I'm pretty sure that most of you have heard about/seen the hot mess that was the season 5 finale of Game of Thrones. Comments? Thoughts?
I'm still feeling like I've been personally victimized by the show's creators...so rather than going into details [and risk spoilers for those who've been sub-rock dwellers] I'm just going to leave this picture here. You know...to remind us of happier times. [Maybe 'happier' is stretching it a bit...has anyone in the seven kingdoms been truly happy for more than an episode or two?]
But, I have to give the show's creators credit...they certainly know how to put together cliffhangers. And I'll be anxiously awaiting season 6...snow matter how much it pains me to continue to watch some of my favorite fictional characters disappear. /sob
All emotional scars due to being far too invested in fictional characters aside, I bring up Game of Thrones as a mediocre means of introducing my main point of interest [in regards to this post]...the Game of Thrones video game! [The episodic version from TellTale Games, not that other one that came out a few years ago...]
If you'll recall my last post, I was super excited to start playing my newly downloaded copy of The Stanley Parable. I'd just newly discovered Steam as a new [to me] gaming platform, and I was geeking out at the prospect of some semblance of gaming again...
Well...
My apologies to fans of The Stanley Parable, but I just didn't really like the game as much as I thought I would. The game play just wasn't as...I don't know...as adventurey as I wanted it to be. Though, to be fair, the playable demo certainly wasn't very adventurey....so, that disappointment is my own fault, really.
However, it was my wanting to play through an adventurey, story-driven game that lead me to finally playing through my downloaded demo of Life is Strange [I'll probably write more on this game later...]. And it was playing through Life is Strange that lead me to TellTale's Game of Thrones...which I love!
I downloaded GoT on my PS3 earlier this week, and I've played through just about all of the episodes that have already been released...I think that new episodes for the game are released just about every 6 weeks, so I'm hoping that I can time it so that I finish up this last episode around the same time that the next one comes out. Does that make me sound a bit impatient? /shrug
I love that the game introduces a new house...any mention of the house Forrester in the show or books is pretty brief and without much detail, which I think is better for the game. By introducing a new house, there isn't a mental synopsis of how things should play out. Buuuuuuut, there are enough similarities between the Forresters and the Starks that one should easily deduce that nothing will go smoothly for the unfortunate Northern family.
The game let's you play through scenarios as several different members of the Forrester family...each person is going through their own troubles and are in their own sorts of danger [because it wouldn't be GoT if there wasn't a sense of urgency and foreboding in every moment].
There's one Forrester in King's Landing who, through my unfortunate decision making, has found herself on the wrong end of business deal with Tyrion...just as Tyrion is declared responsible for his least favorite double-nephew's choking on his pigeon pie.
Another is currently attempting to seek favor in the eyes of Dany...he's been in Essos and is desperately needed back home.
A third is at The Wall and [again...poor decision making] has just committed almost murder while acting in self-defense...but sparing the guy's life is going to change things for this character in the next episode...Jon Snow is going to be mad at me! /sob
And lastly, there's a Forrester at home, in Ironrath. He's trying to keep the shambles of his family together while staving off the Whitehills and Boltons...oh yeah...did I forget to mention the Boltons? Ramsay Snow is there...he's already killed one of the Forresters and isn't too fond of the ones that are left...super fun.
It's definitely one of my favorite games that I've played in a while! Have any of you guys played it? If you have, what sort of decisions did you make? I'd love to see which choices yield different outcomes!

Game of Thrones Recap: "Sons of the Harpy"
Okay...so a few things need to be said about the latest episode of Game of Thrones...[Season 5, Episode 4: "Sons of the Harpy"] ***Spoilers, if you haven't seen the episode yet!***
- Any episode that includes Ned Stark in the recap is going to be a doozy...remember that! [The North remembers. You should, too.]

- Doesn't matter how many episodes he's going to be in, to me, the High Sparrow is always going to be Governor Swann. Yep. That's just how it is.
- I never really cared for Ser Loras that much, but even I am genuinely frightened for him in this scene...especially just having seen how the faith militant reserved special treatment for those of Loras' persuasion while emptying out Littlefinger's brothel...and they seriously have symbols carved into their faces!! Carved! /sigh Poor Loras...
- Guess who isn't exactly happy to hear about her brother being imprisoned...and guess who has to try and 'fix' the terrible mess...
All drama aside, I feel the need to comment on how fantastic Margaery's hair is! Her curls are beautiful! Sometimes I think that maybe I should let my naturally curly hair grow out like hers...and then I remember that I don't have a hair stylist and makeup crew...no one could pay me any amount of money to grow my hair out as long as hers...if that sounds like an outlandish statement, then you haven't endured an Alabama summer!
- Just in case you've forgotten how young and politically inexperienced Tommen is, this episode gladly gives you several reminders. Let's be realistic. Tommen is 12, 14 tops. He's got an older wife with an eye for power and the wits and looks to make things happen [She's going to be queen, dang it!]; he's got a vicious, manipulative, over-protective mother who loathes his wife's very existence; he's got a kingdom to attempt to rule that isn't exactly pro-Baratheon/Lannister; as everyone else has said, he's very soft...while it's a good thing he isn't a twisted sadist like his brother, Joffery, I get the impression that Tommen wouldn't weather violence very well at all. I can only hope that he's going to make it through the rest of this season without some sort of terrible mental scarring....

- This episode gets a notable mention for being the most hilarious about Jaime and his one-handedness. While it does suck that he's lost a good portion of his fighting ability [he was quite a
formidable opponent, before], it is rather chuckle-worthy to see Jaime remind Bronn that he can't help with boat rowing or hole digging. Those are two-handed jobs, after all. The icing on the cake is when his false hand saves his life in a sword fight while on the beaches of Dorne...pretty darn funny, all things considered.

- We are treated to another scene of watching Melissandre blatantly trying to work her charms on Jon Snow...thankfully, she failed! Jon Snow has done a fantastic job of maintaining his integrity this
season. Kind of impressive...Stannis and Gendry didn't fare as well, for sure. Not cool for Melissandre to throw around, "You know nothing, Jon Snow." Nope.
- This conversation between Sansa and Littlefinger is everything!! Littlefinger recounts the events of the fateful tournament...the day when Rhaegar Targaryen showed favor to Lyanna Stark over his wife, Elia Martell. What's important here, is that you remember that, at this point, Lyanna was already promised to Robert Baratheon...sooooo, the whole thing was a big, messy 'no no.'
Littlefinger's reaction to Sansa's comment that Lyanna was kidnapped, raped, and killed really makes me wonder what exactly Littlefinger knows but isn't saying...I'm pretty sure that he's going to be the key in learning why Westeros is in the shape that it is...
- And, lastly, I am very sad about Barristan Selmy and Grey Worm being killed by the Sons of the Harpy. Just...why??
Maybe this will be the push that Daenerys needs to get her noble, dragon-wielding butt in gear!
Okay...that took much longer to put together than I'd anticipated, sorry it's taking so long for me to actually get posts up :/

Game of Thrones, Bates Motel, and Working....
Hey, hey...I hope you guys have been having a good week...I'm doing alright, still super busy with everything...but, no one wants to hear me going on and on about work, so I'll skip that...
What did you think about the latest episode of Game of Thrones?
I thought that the episode was pretty good...there are a few story developments that I thought were a bit unexpected:
- I don't know why, but I was genuinely surprised that Littlefinger arranged for Sansa to marry Ramsay Bolton. I mean, come on!! Ramsay is a freakin' BOLTON!! The family responsible for that little thing we call the Red Wedding!!! I know that Ramsay 'gave his word' to Littlefinger that he would never hurt Sansa, but I don't think that even means anything...I mean, the only one that might be less 'worth his word' in all of Westeros than a Bolton wold be Littlefinger. Geez. Poor Sansa...
- I wasn't expecting the wedding of Tommen and Margaery to come quite as quickly as it did. Maybe I didn't think it was in the works yet because of the blatant lack of fanfare...though, I don't know if it would even be possible to top all of the fanfare of the previous royal wedding. And I'm pretty sure I can't be the only one that found the whole 'wedding night' scene to be more than a touch creepy...I'm not exactly sure how old TV show Tommen is supposed to be, but I know that book Tommen is rather young...like, not even a teenager young! Soooooo, congratulations to Margaery for marrying a man-child with such, umm, natural prowess....but, it's still creepy.
- I'm seriously confused by the things going on with Arya while she's in the House of Black and White...not sure if all the secrecy is part of her padawan training, but we aren't given much to work with at all. I don't know whether I should be afraid for her character or if I should be anticipating a make-over of bad ass proportions...
- How about Jon Snow seriously manning up?!? Seriously! I've always more or less liked his character, so I'm glad to see that he's striving to be a man that's worth his word...

Other than GoT, I've been watching the latest season of Bates Motel...
Bates is on it's third season...I watched the first one on a Netflix binge-watching spree. I really liked it...but when I tried to watch the second season as it aired, I found it rather, 'meh.' So, I just waited until the entire second season was available on Netflix and then binge-watched the whole thing...
I thought that the third season would be the same way, but I'm pleasantly surprised to find that it isn't! It's one of the few shows that I make an effort to watch each episode as it airs. [Or I'll watch the newest episode on the A&E website...but I've been watching each episode before the next one airs! Progress, I tell ya...]
It's a really good show...It's supposed to be chronicling the life of Norman Bates 'pre-Psycho.' I've never seen the movie, so I'm not really sure at what point all of the build-up is supposed to end...but I'm a fan, so far! The story is just darkly-twisted enough to keep me intrigued...it's like...a small town that really tries to be the picturesque, white picket fence town that it portrays itself to be, but there's always an undeniable trace of some menacing evil working just beneath the surface...It's good!!
Alrighty...I've got to get back to work...hope to post again soon!

| Margaery + Tommen = 4 - Eva! |

Game of Thrones - Season 5 Opener...Wasn't My Favorite /shrug
After finally being able to watch the season 5 premiere of Game of Thrones, I'm still not exactly sure if I'm very excited about this upcoming season...
***SPOILERS...if you haven't seen the episode yet, you may wanna skip this post***
The episode starts off with two girls walking through a really creepy forest...there isn't an introduction of the girls, so I spent the first several minutes trying to figure out who they where and what terrible thing was about to happen to them [the last episode I remember starting with an unnamed girl in the woods was 'The Lion and the Rose' from season 4...it didn't end well for the poor girl. Not at all].
Soon the girls are barging into a ramshackle hut and the blonde one starts demanding that the 'witch' that lives there tell her of her future...the witch tells the girl that she will marry the king and become queen, for a time...then there will be a younger, more beautiful girl that will overthrow her and take her place. She also says that the girl and the king will have children...that the king will have 20 and she will have 3. [Right about now is when I realized that I knew the girl's name] Ominously, the witch says that the girl's three children will have crowns of gold...which will then become their shrouds. Have you guessed who the girl is supposed to be yet? Yep! We are looking at a young Cersei and learning that she had some fore-warning of the tragedy that would play out in her life [seaons 1 -4]. Not really sure what this scene is supposed to do for the audience...other than offer additional insight on why Cersei hates Margery as much as she does.
Lancel Lannister reappears in this episode, and he seems to have been given quite a makeover...remember him?
Lancel had a sort of minor, recurring role in seasons 1 and 2 before he more or less disappears after Cersei punches him in the arrow wound he received during the Battle of the Blackwater.
During the fist couple seasons, Lancel joined the ranks of Cersei's puppets. You know...the ones she got to do her bidding because she was sleeping with them. [Cersei: keeping it in the family. Always.]
Cersei runs into the made-over rendition of Lancel during some sort of gathering for honoring/mourning the late Tywin Lannister [died at the hand of Tyrion...while taking a poop. Hilarious!]. In the dialogue between Cersei and Lancel, we're reminded of their 'taboo relations' and some of the deeds Lancel did at her bidding...namely, his involvement in boar hunting accident that killed King Robert. We also learn that Lancel has joined some sort of religious group that call themselves 'The Sparrows.'
My guess is that The Sparrows end up having some sort of role in the latest chapter of King's Landing drama...maybe.
Umm...what else happened?
Oh! I remember that they briefly show Brienne and Podrick...Brienne is pretty aggravated that she's pledged to protect any remaining Starks [Arya and Sansa, as far as Brienne knows], but Arya flat-out denied her offered assistance/protection. While venting some of her frustrations, Brienne tries [again] to dismiss Podrick, reminding him that he can't be actually be a squire if he continues to assist her...after all, Brienne is not actually a knight. Because he's the good guy that he is, Podrick waves these comments off [again] and insists that he will continue to aid Brienne. In a cruel bit of dramatic irony, we see a carriage pass by Brienne and Podrick...and Sansa is in the carriage!!!! /facepalm!
Speaking of Sansa...
We see Sansa and Littlefinger dropping Robin off at some sort of training facility. Robin is being taught to sword fight and he suuuuuuuuucks! Robin's safety is assured [though his capacity to learn manly things is not] and Sansa and Littlefinger head out in a carriage. I know that Littlefinger tells Sansa that he lied about their destination, but I can't actually remember where they're headed...yeah...this bit wasn't exactly my favorite.
We also get kind of caught up on Daenerys...she's still hanging out in her pyramid and everything around the pyramid is still chaos. An unsullied gets murdered while he's snuggling with a prostitute and that prompts Daenerys to flex her 'I'm the badass mother of dragons!' muscles...a little. After a little prodding from a very nude Daario Naharis, Dany goes to visit her two dragons that she had locked away at the end of the last season. I'm not sure exactly how long these two have been locked away, but they certainly did not seem happy to see their mother! Sooooo, unless there are some drastic changes, I don't know how much longer Dany can call herself the 'mother of dragons.'
Quite honestly, I've been trying to write this stupid post for three days now, and I've gotten tired of it...[gotta love chaos...which my life seems to have in endless supplies!] so, I'm going to wrap this episode up rather quickly...
We see Jon Snow, still at Castle Black, and Stannis is telling Jon that he wants Mance Rayder to pledge his loyalty to him and enlist all of the wildlings to fight in Sannis's army. Jon relays the message to Mance, Mance predictably says 'hell no.' Stannis then sentences Mance to die by fire...just...ugh, I really hate Stannis. During the execution, Jon Snow does one of the most honorable things seen in the show to date [just a rough estimate...I may look into the accuracy of this statement later], and he shoots an arrow in Mance's chest. A much swifter, more humane [by comparison] death than being burned alive. So....yeah. Yay, Jon Snow!
I know that I'm skipping over the bits about Tyrion and Varys [and probably more], my apologies...to me, it really seemed like a whole lot of scaffolding for future episodes and story arcs. Not terribly interesting right now. In fact, that's really my overall impression of the entire episode... it just wasn't terribly interesting.
Here's to hoping that the season gets better!

Season 5 is...Finally Here! [Game of Thrones]
It's finally here!!!I've been waiting for season 5 of Game of Thrones pretty much since the day that season 4
ended...though I must admit, it's been so long that I've forgotten where the story left off..
Aaaand, I got really tired of paying about $25 extra on my cable bill for HBO [especially since I'd only subscribed so that I could watch GoT]...so I cancelled my subscription to HBO several months ago. Thankfully, AT&T is having a free HBO/MAX preview weekend and I don't have to miss the season 5 premiere! [Clever timing, HBO, clever timing indeed...]
Though, to be honest, I'm not sure if I'll be as big of a GoT fan as I had been with seasons in the past. To me, it felt like the show was kind of losing steam towards the last few episodes of season 4...I've gotten really bored with Jon Snow's story arc and with whatever is happening north of the wall. We still have no idea what's happened to Gendry [last we saw him, he was hightailing it out of Dragonstone in a row boat after admitting that he's never been in a rowboat before and doesn't know how to swim...and we don't see him at all in the 4th season!! What happened to Gendry?!??
I don't like Stannis Baratheon...the only good thing to come out of his story arc is Ser Davos. Did you catch the Monty Python reference in one of the scenes where he was learning to read? It was awesome!
I also don't like that it's taking Daenerys friggin forever to get to the other continent...forever. I expected some dragon-fire roasted goodness about a season and a half ago! Isn't at least one of the dragons big enough for her to ride on yet? She's quite the tiny thing, the dragon wouldn't even have to be fully grown yet! And what happened to her massive Dothraki army? Are they still there? After she acquired the army of Unsullied, we never see the Dothrakis. [Or maybe I just don't remember seeing them...]

| Edited out the nipple because.../shudder |
I'm hoping that more interesting things end up happening with Arya's character...although she has gotten rather tough while running all over Westeros with The Hound, I'm not sure how she'll fare on her own...right now, I'm putting my bet on Sansa being the longest living Stark.
Well, now that I've started writing about it, I am rather excited to see this season's premiere! A post on my thoughts of the episode to come later, I'm sure...
**Update: I somehow managed to botch setting my DVR to record the new episode when it first aired...I went about putting the kiddo to bed and such anticipating to watch the newly recorded Westerosi goodness after the kiddo fell asleep, but noooooo...now I have to wait another hour to catch the next showing! Also, until I've seen the episode, I'm avoiding the internet like it's the plague! Stupid DVR. /grumblegrumblegrumble

Walker Stalker Con - Atlanta 2014
I was looking through Groupon not too long ago, not really looking for anything in particular, and I stumbled across something amazing!
Jason Momoa, known by the GoT fandom as Khal Drogo, is also going to be there!
Still not enticing enough? Okay, here's something for the Vampire Diaries fans...
Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley are going to be there, too!
And seriously, ladies, you KNOW you'd go just to see Ian...
Ok, I know I would!
One of the Walking Dead authors is going to be there, two of the make-up artists from the SyFy series Face Off are going to be there...so much awesome!
It's in October, so that leaves a good bit of time to get a trip planned. Someone go with me to this awesomefest!!!
I had no idea this was even a thing! It's a convention that's dedicated to all things zombie, especially AMC's show The Walking Dead!
Above is a very small portion of the ridiculously impressive guest list for the event. Did I mention that the list is ridiculously impressive? Because it is!! Click on the link and check it out! Do it!
In addition to the Walking Dead stars that are scheduled to appear, there's more! Game of Thrones fans, do you recognize this guy?
