Breaching Breaking Points...

Okay, I know I'm supposed to be doing this whole 'I'm going to approach crappy situations and crappy people with optimisim' thing...but, ugh, I just can't right now.

Sometimes people are just downright stupid/lame/mean/rotten/two-faced/backtstabby/lying/hurtful poopheads and I would love nothing more than to call them out on their crap! I spend so much time and energy convincing myself that they're 'really good people on the inside' but actually, they're not.

Sometimes it sucks to be so darn intuitive about people...and it sucks even more when I'm right and I really don't want to be.

But you know what? I'm sick and tired of being people's emotional dumping ground and punching bag. Especially when they have the nerve to just shrug it off as if they've done no wrong and then leave me in emotional shambles.

Know what? I'm done. You suck.

Mr. T, you have everyone thinking you're a super nice guy. Myself included. And yeah, you might be. But you are capable of being just plain damn cold and mean. And you do so without so much as batting an eyelash and without half a word of remorse. So you may be a nice guy and all, but you were shitty and mean to me. And really, I didn't do anything to deserve any of it. Nothing at all. I'd have thought that being 'good friends' for just at 15 years would at least earn me some sort of consideration or concern for my feelings, but I guess I'm wrong.

It's not the first time I've been wrong about someone and, unfortunately, it probably won't be the last time either. But I expected more from you, really, I did. So, thanks. In addition to hurt feelings, I've got to figure out how to reconcile being wrong about someone for 15 damn years. And losing someone that I counted as a good friend for that long.

But I'm sure it's irrelevant to you, I've learned that's the kind of person you actually are. So glad to have been your source of amusement this summer.

Guess I never realized the kind of damage 'wolves in friend's clothing' could inflict on me...congrats, you caught me off guard and wreaked havoc.

Sounds like the rantings of a bitter woman scorned?

Yeah. And?

Someone needs to stand up for me and say how much you suck for treating me the way you did. No one else will do it, so here it is, on my blog, for all three people to see.

Eventually, I'll get over it and regain a rational view on things...on you. And then I'm sure I'll somewhat forgive you and wish you wellness and happiness because that's what I do. No matter how much I'm dying on the inside, that's what I always do.

But I'm not there yet. And I hate you and what you did to me. And I hate that you don't even care enough to realize what you've done. And I hate that you don't care enough to check and see that I'm alright despite what you've done. You've been an absolute asshole to me and it isn't fair. I would say I'm sorry that I'm not as thin as you'd have liked or that I'm not as Caucasian as you'd have liked...but I'm not sorry for those things! I am however sorry that I wasted any of my time thinking you were above such shallow excuses for standards, you're just as shallow as every other fist-pumping douchebag I've ever met.

In conclusion, Mr. T, you suck. Eat shit, asshole.

Good Tips for Gentlemen (and Those Aspiring to be One!)...

Good list of things that guys need to know by Christina Hendricks, I agree with just about everything she says here! So, please pay attention, gentlemen!

Christina Hendricks: A Letter To Men (Here's the link to the article, just in case you want it...)

Christina Hendricks
We love your body. If we're in love with you, we love your body. Your potbelly, everything. Even if you're insecure about something, we love your body. You feel like you're not this or that? We love your body. We embrace everything. Because it's you.
Speaking of your body, you don't understand the power of your own smell. Any woman who is currently with a man is with him partly because she loves the way he smells. And if we haven't smelled you for a day or two and then we suddenly are within inches of you, we swoon. We get light-headed. It's intoxicating. It's heady.
We remember forever what you say about the bodies of other women. When you mention in passing that a certain woman is attractive — could be someone in the office, a woman on the street, a celebrity, any woman in the world, really — your comment goes into a steel box and it stays there forever. We will file the comment under "Women He Finds Attractive." It's not about whether or not we approve of the comment. It's about learning what you think is sexy and how we might be able to convey it. It's about keeping our man by knowing what he likes.
We also remember everything you say about our bodies, be it good or bad. Doesn't matter if it's a compliment. Could be just a comment. Those things you say are stored away in the steel box, and we remember these things verbatim. We remember what you were wearing and the street corner you were standing on when you said it.
Never complain about our friends — even if we do. No matter how many times we say a friend of ours is driving us crazy, you are not to pile on. Not because it offends us. But because it adds to the weight that we carry around about her.
Remember what we like. When I first started dating my husband, I had this weird fascination with the circus and clowns and old carnival things and sideshow freaks and all that. About a month after we started dating, he bought me this amazing black-and-white photo book on the circus in the 1930s, and I started sobbing. Which freaked him out. I thought, Oh, my God, I mentioned this three or four weeks ago and talked about it briefly, but he was really listening to me. And he actually went out and researched and found this thing for me. It was amazing.
We want you to order Scotch. It's the most impressive drink order. It's classic. It's sexy. Such a rich color. The glass, the smell. It's not watered down with fruit juice. It's Scotch. And you ordered it.
Stand up, open a door, offer a jacket. We talk about it with our friends after you do it. We say, "Can you believe he stood up when I approached the table?" It makes us feel important. And it makes you important because we talk about it.
No shorts that go below the knee. The ones almost like capri pants, the ones that hover somewhere between the kneecap and the calf? Enough with those shorts. They are the most embarrassing pants in the world. They should never be worn. No woman likes those.
Also, no tank tops. In public at least. A tank top is underwear. You're walking around in your underwear. Too much.
No man should be on Facebook. It's an invasion of everyone's privacy. I really cannot stand it.
You don't know this, but when we come back from a date, we feel awkward about that transition from our cute outfit into sexy lingerie. We don't know how to do this gracefully. It's embarrassing. We have to find a way to slip into another room, put on the outfit as if it all happened very easily, and then come out and it's: Look at me! Look at the sexy thing I've done! For you, it's the blink of an eye. It's all very embarrassing. Just so you know.
Panties is a wonderful word. When did you stop saying "panties"? It's sexy. It's girlie. It's naughty. Say it more.
About ogling: The men who look, they really look. It doesn't insult us. It doesn't faze us, really. It's just — well, it's a little infantile. Which is ironic, isn't it? The men who constantly stare at our breasts are never the men we're attracted to.
There are better words than beautiful. Radiant, for instance. It's an underused word. It's a very special word. "You are radiant." Also, enchanting, smoldering, intoxicating, charming, fetching.
Marriage changes very little. The only things that will get a married man laid that won't get a single man laid are adultery and whores. Intelligence and humor (and your smell) are what get you laid. That's what got you laid when you were single. That's what gets you laid when you're married. Everything still works in marriage: especially intelligence and humor. Because the sexiest thing is to know you.

Car Replacement Saga w/ Anime Emotions (Dattebayo!)...

Know what's really, really annoying?

When you're talking to someone about a topic that is very important, to both the talker and the listener, and the listener obviously isn't paying attention. Even worse than that, they are feigning paying attention, making it all that much clearer that really, they don't give two s***s about what is being said.

ただ注意馬鹿を払う!

I thought that Fairy Tail's Natsu would do a pretty darn good job of demonstrating how aggravated I am right now...

(I should probably mention that this isn't how Natsu always looks...he's all fired up, Anime style!)

I understand being distracted (I am a rather distractable person my...what was I saying again?), but there's a distinct difference between being distracted and just plain having a DGAF attitude about the farce of a conversation.
Trogdor! Burninate!!
Yep, that's Trogdor going all burninate on people who do a bad job of pretending to listen to conversations. Burninate, pretenders, burninate!!

HomestarRunner - Trogdor (Just in case you have no idea what the Trogdor is...)

KnowYourMeme - Trogdor (For those who have no idea what the Trogdor is and don't want to play the awesome Trogdor game found at the previous link...)

But yeah...if someone is actually taking the time and effort to talk to you about something important, the least you can do is attempt to listen...or do a decent job at faking it.

Elsewhere in Gotham City, I'm planning on going to see about my options for getting a car loan today. /sigh I really don't want to add another monthly expense to my already strapped budget, but I don't think I'll be able to avoid it.
私が悪いんだ助けて
I'll be updating as the Car Replacement Saga develops...

In the meantime, is anybody looking to hire some help? I can do lots of stuff and can be lots of fun to work with!!

Saab News and New Anime...

Sad news guys...

Cue up the ridiculously sad Sarah McLachlan Song ("I Will Remember You")...

Heard back from my car insurance company this morning, and the Saab is going to have to be totaled. So sad for my poor lil car :( I have to go in a little bit and get the rest of my things out of its trunk. (They clipped the battery wire at the site of the collision so I wasn't able to get the trunk open that day)

So, as I'm sure you guessed, I'm bummed. And now I have to figure out what I'm going to do for a car...

Small bit of good news, the insurance is going to pay almost twice what I had originally expected. (yay!) But it still won't be enough to get a decent vehicle. (Boo!) Either today or tomorrow I guess I need to go to a financial institution and figure out what sort of vehicle I could reasonably afford. (Thank goodness that I'll have the car insurance reimbursement to use as a sorts of down payment.)

By my estimations, these are cars that I will probably be able to afford:

Now would probably be a good time to mention that I am horrible at estimations...although, I did manage to correctly guess the amount of jelly beans in a jar one time...by accident.

To sort of temper the quasi-bad news, I've started watching another amazing Anime!

Hooray for Anime!
It's really good! Hilariously funny, it follows the exploits of wizards in a magical land...where wizards exist! Check it out! It's on Netflix and CrunchyRoll...haven't checked Hulu, but I'm betting it's there, too!

Okay, So It Isn't Really That Bad...

Okay, so I need to amend my statement from my earlier post...today isn't that bad at all!

Got some good news from an old health insurance company. I've been fighting with them for almost a year! Turns out I had a bill that I didn't know existed, it was weighing down my credit score...for 5 years! But finally got some news that they may actually do their jobs and pay the bill! Hooray! (I seriously do not have the $25K that they didn't cover!)

In other news, I'm still waiting to hear back from my car insurance company. Still crossing my fingers that the Saab doesn't have to be totaled. According to my calculations, this is what I'll probably be able to afford if I have to replace it:

Maybe I'll get my kiddo to help me pedal!

My apologies for being grumpy and pessimistic earlier, hope you had a decent Monday as well!

Monday, No-Funday...

So, I hope you guys all had a good weekend and Monday morning...

I didn't have the greatest of weekends, and the trend is unfortunately continuing through today. Hooray! (So much sarcasm, it should be illegal...)

But, I know that complaining fixes nothing, so I'll spare you all the moaning/gnashing-of-teeth... instead, I'm posting a link to a pdf version of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst.

And this sort of funny picture of something llama related.

Hope today gets better...my mental well-being depends on it!

Avengers Carmelldansen!

Had a good laugh with my sister this afternoon over this video...Kind of hard to explain, but it involved some rotten potatoes and onions, maggots, a very well-timed joke, and an even better timed hilarious response. I love the bits with the Hulk in it...skip around just to find those parts if you do not want to sit through almost 3 minutes of Carmelldansen. (This was a viral internet thing 2-3 years ago or so...)

More Arrow Please!

I completely forgot to add what I'd found out about Arrow yesterday...

I found out that the second season of Arrow isn't available on Netflix. There are few episodes available on Hulu, but they're mid-season episodes and there are only half a dozen or so that you can watch in their entirety. Also checked the CW website, and it's pretty much the same as Hulu.

This makes me seriously sad, guys. How can Netflix enable binge-watching of shows and not provide all of the completely aired seasons?!?
/Swoon

Stephen Amell is just too stinkin' adorable! I did find out the the second season will be available on BluRay and DVD in September. I will be purchasing it...assuming that I'll have the funds to do so...Adding an unexpected car payment on top of already tight finances will certainly put a hindrance on buying things for entertainment.

And, just because...
He's ab-solutely right...someone please give him my contact info! ;)

Friday Updates...

Good news! My kiddo's first day of kindergarten was a success! Morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up both went off without a hitch, and he survived his first lunch in a cafeteria. He even said that PE was fun! I'm so glad that his first day of "big kid school" went well for him, I'm hoping the rest of the school year continues to go well...definitely makes all of the aggravation leading up to the beginning of the school year worth it. His school reminds me of some the better schools that I went to as a child. (Being an army brat, my family moved around a good bit. I went to about 10 different schools for kindergarten through finishing high school and have seen my share of really good schools and not-so-good schools...) I signed up for all sorts of parent-volunteer opportunities...guess I'm going to be the mom that shows up for everything! I know that will drive my kiddo crazy when he gets older, but I'd much rather be involved than have no clue what's going on with my child's education. (Knowing that he's going to a great school makes even the traffic more bearable!)
Holy Cow! Morning School Traffic!

Ouch! :(

Elsewhere in Gotham City...I'm supposed to find out the fate of my car sometime this afternoon. My insurance company is sending one of their agents to inspect the car to see if it's going to be deemed fixable or if it needs to be totaled. Everybody please cross their fingers that it comes back as fixable...I won't be able to afford a car to replace my poor Saab if it isn't fixable.

Found out yesterday that the motherboard in my personal desktop computer is most likely fried. Luckily, my parents have ordered me a new computer for my birthday (read: computer for work stuffs) otherwise I'd have to add "fix computer" to the list of expensive worries that have been plaguing me here lately. But the lack of computer, both laptop and desktop, are certainly to blame for the delay of the birthday post I've been promising. I've written posts from the iPad before but it's terribly inconvenient for posting pictures, links, and videos. The post is coming though...eventually. Maybe I should write snippets of it whenever I can and then copy and paste them together...darn computers.

Kindergarten And The Green Arrow...

Hey Guys! Hope you're having a good morning so far...

Just dropped my kiddo off for his first day of "big kid school" not too long ago. Everything went just as smoothly as I hoped it would, no complaints about the actual drop-off at all! The parents were told several times that we are not to accompany our children into the school, and I was a bit worried that my kiddo would freak out about having to walk into the relatively unknown building all by himself, but he did great! I can't wait to pick him up this afternoon and listen to all the stories that he's going to have about his first day!

I did one of the overly-sentimental mom things and made a chalkboard sign for his first day of kindergarten.
Not actual photo of my child!
It's got today's date on it, says his "first day of kindergarten," and then lists some of the his favorite things right now, what he wants to be when he grows up, and stuff that I'll want to remember such as his height and weight. I plan on making a similar sign on the last day of the school year, I think it will be fun to see how much he changes during the year!

As some of you may have read, yesterday was my birthday. I survived another year! Woohoo! I intended to write a post summarizing the past year with some witty humor and profound wisdom sprinkled in, and then I managed to wreck my car...so, yeah. I will still write the post, but probably not until later on tonight.

However, I do want to mention that I finally finished watching the first season of Arrow! I started watching the show (based on the DC comics character the Green Arrow) about a month or so ago at the suggestion of one of my buddies, and I'm helplessly hooked on the show.
The show has an amazing cast!

The first season of the show chronicles Oliver Queen's return from being stranded on an uncharted island for 5 years. His family had thought both he and his father to be dead for the years Oliver was missing, and unfortunately Oliver's father does not make the return trip home with his son.

The first couple episodes of the show were a bit hard to get through, but I think that's pretty common with most shows. It takes a while to get truly interested in the story line and the development of the characters. I'll be the first to admit that I had written off Oliver Queen's character as a Bruce Wayne knock-off, but I'll happily admit that I was wrong and that the Oliver Queen/Green Arrow story line should definitely be given a chance.

Stephen Amell stars as the show's Oliver Queen aka the Green Arrow aka the Hood. In my opinion, he does an excelled job bringing the character to life and portraying the mind-boggling amount of growth that is experienced by Oliver at different points in the story arc.

Plus, you've got to admit he's certainly easy on the eyes...not saying that him being devastatingly handsome is the only reason to watch the show, but it certainly doesn't hurt!

As far as eye candy goes, I'm also a fan of Oliver's best friend, Tommy Merlyn, as well as the actor who plays him, Colin Donnell. Tommy holds his own as Oliver's best friend, most of the time is equally funny, charming, and witty. And he's got the whole dark hair/blue eyes combo going on...gets me every time.

Another character that I have come to love is Felicty Smoak played by Emily Bett Rickards. Felicity has a very minor role at first, she works in the IT department of Queen Enterprises, and both Oliver and his step-father, Walter, approach Felicity for help on various tasks. I absolutely love Felicity's character! She's brilliant (at some point in the show you learn that she's a MIT graduate), she's funny, and painfully awkward. Some of the interactions between Felicity and Oliver are so awkward, you'll literally cringe...for example:
Yikes...
No worries, Felicity...I'm right there with you.

So, if you haven't checked out Arrow yet, I suggest that you do! The complete first season can be found on Netflix, and I know that some of the second season can be found on Hulu...I'm going to see if I can find the complete second season online somewhere.

I'll leave you guys with this small montage of ridiculously adorable pictures of Oliver and Tommy (Stephen and Collin) hanging out together. Seriously, I love these two! Add them to the list of celebrities that I need to meet in real life...
